June 21, 2005 Battlefield 2 was released in to PC gaming world. People have been playing Battlefield 2 now for 2 and a half years. With new expansion packs coming out and different versions for the game some people didn’t ever think a game would beat it. Many gamers had Battlefield 2 in their hearts and showed it by playing countless hours.

With the revives and the capturing of flags what could be better? Late 2007 a new game was released: Call of Duty 4. With the big talk about how Battlfield 2 was on its downfall Call of Duty 4 did not help. Many people rushed out and bought the game on November 4, 2007 because it was supposedly the new Battlefield 2.

Within a couple weeks after the release Battlefield 2 has soon become a part of the past. Many people still love the game but looking into the future of gaming. Call of Duty 4 soon had many people playing. From the conversion from Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2, and some from Medal of Honor many people filled the servers and left their old games behind.

Of course there will always be some people that will go and pub for their last time on their old games but the future of online gaming is steering in Call of Duty 4’s direction. The blood getting spilled out with every shot that hits your body and being able to shoot through walls to kill the enemy Call of Duty sure is headed in the right direction.
